Lehigh Acres Citizen

Cape Coral resident Ryan Doyon, 29, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for one count of manslaughter with a firearm and four counts of discharging a firearm in public, according to a release from the State Attorney's office.

Doyon was found guilty following a trial in Lee County in July.

The crime happened in Cape Coral in 2017. The defendant chased down a man who had knocked on his door and started shooting at him in a residential neighborhood at about 9:30 a.m. The victim was hit twice by bullets. The Cape Coral Police Department responded to the scene but the victim had already succumbed to the gunshot wounds.
