Riverdale Branch Library lists upcoming programs for month

The roster of activities for December at the Riverdale Branch Library, at 2421 Buckingham Road, Fort Myers.

The following programs are free and open to the public:

Adult programs

- TED Talk: View and share ideas

11 a.m. Dec. 6, 13 and 20

Short video talks to inspire you to share ideas.

Article Map

- Game Club Wednesday

1 p.m. Dec. 6, 13 and 20

Make new friends while playing cards, chess and board games.


- Family Storytime

10 a.m. Dec. 1 and 8

Your whole family is invited to this enjoyable, all-ages storytime that encourages the development of prereading skills through songs, rhymes, fingerplays and stories.

Children/teen programs

- Kids Read Down Fines

2 to 3 p.m. Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29

10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 30

Children and teens can earn a $2 credit for every 15 minutes they read in the designated area for a total of $8 in one session. Credit may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only and applies only to charges on overdue materials.

- Craft for the Season

2 p.m. Dec. 9

Make and take a craft to celebrate the season.

- Holiday Movie

2 p.m. Dec. 26

Join your friends for an out-of-school get together at the library.
