The improvements include a northbound right turn lane on Gunnery and eastbound and westbound left turn lanes on 8th Street. It also includes the addition of bike lanes, sidewalks and a new traffic signal.

The project boundaries on 8th Street are from Gretchen Avenue east to Floyd Avenue South and the project boundaries on Gunnery are from the Gunnery intersection south approximately 400 feet.

In addition, improvements to the existing stormwater drainage system on the east side of Gunnery will be expanded to accommodate the new northbound right turn lane.
