Offshore Sailing School CEO and President Doris Colgate recently announced that the company has launched a new two-day Learn to Sail certification course.

Florida residents can save $200 per student on the course if they book a new reservation by June 30, for course completion by Sept. 29.

The course schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, resulting in US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification, enabling an individual to skipper a boat up to 30.

The two-day Accelerated Learn to Sail course combines classroom with on-water training by a US Sailing-certified instructor, and includes textbooks, Certificate of Completion, logbook and US Sailing certification.

Optional specially-priced resort accommodations, taxes and fees are available if desired at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach, and downtown Hampton Inn & Suites in St. Petersburg.

The sailing school also offers Florida residents these limited-time specials off five-day courses with resort stay:

- $500 off per student in its five-day Learn to Sail course running half-days Monday through Friday.

- $750 off per student in its Fast Track to Bareboat Charter Cruising course running full days Saturday to Friday.

The five-day course packages require a resort stay and two students enrolling together. Offshore Sailing School graduates receive many lifetime benefits, such as up to 15 percent off their first charter with The Moorings in the British Virgin Islands.
