Police need help locating subjects in homicide investigation

The Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public's help locating two men in connection to a recent homicide.

Gerald Petit Homme, 21, of Lehigh Acres, and Laman Lashawn Allen, 25, of Fort Myers, are sought in the death of Rogerio Anjos, 34, of Fort Myers, on April 1 at Scarlett's Cabaret Fort Myers.

At about 2 a.m., the FMPD responded to a disturbance at 3650 Fowler St. in Fort Myers. Upon arrival, officers located Anjos suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Lee County EMS transported him to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. Anjos died a short time later as a result of his injuries.

Investigators determined that Anjos and a friend were leaving the Scarlett's parking lot when they engaged in a verbal altercation with three unknown men. The altercation quickly escalated and Anjos was shot by one of the subjects. All three men entered one vehicle and quickly left the parking lot.

They were last seen leaving the parking lot of the incident in a dark-colored hatchback vehicle with a yellow/blue New York State license plate.

Police are asking for anyone who may know the whereabouts of Homme or Allen to contact FMPD Detective Jose Gomez at 239-851-8049, or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous.
