Just over two months after a Lehigh Acres hotel was robbed at gunpoint, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is still seeking the identities of the two men responsible.
Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff's Office are hopeful that someone will recognize the two armed suspects who robbed the Microtel, at 1320 Business Way, on Nov. 22.
"Often times, immediately following a violent crime, witnesses or people in the know are hesitant to share information," Trish Routte, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers coordinator, said. "However, some time has passed and these guys are still out there, armed and dangerous.

"We strongly encourage anyone who has direct or even second hand information on the identities of these men to come forward," she said. "No one will ever know you provided a critical tip and your information could help remove two violent offenders from our streets."
Just before 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, two dark-skinned men walked into the Microtel. Both men were armed with handguns and demanded cash from the register. One of the suspects jumped the counter, removed an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as the employee's purse, then both men fled on foot.
One suspect is described as being in his late 20s, with his face covered by a bandana with white markings on it. The second suspect had a heavier build and had a dark cloth covering most of his face.
Anyone with information on the identities of the two suspects is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
